In Girona is one of the most important jewish museums in our country, where you will discover the jewish heritage through eleven galleries. The main aim of the Museum is to preserve and reflect the history of the Jewish communities of Catalonia, which throughout the entire medieval period formed part of, and made a decisive contribution to, the history of the country and its cultural and scientific development.

It is remarkable heritage that has remained of the Jewish community that lived in Besalú from the ninth century until 1436. Besalú is one of the best preserved medieval towns in Catalonia.
