Luis and his wife Kathe are the founders and artisans of HANDMADE BARCELONA®, an ethical brand of handmade traditional shoes from Cataluña, Spain. They have been making shoes for many years in their family-owned factories in Spain.

They have been hosting a very successful experience teaching travelers how to stitch traditional Catalan espadrilles for a long time. This unique experience has brought them many good reviews in 2019 as a must-do in Barcelona and it is within the 10% Top Experiences Worldwide.

They are not only experts when it comes to espadrilles, but they're also fun and entertaining with their anecdotes and insider stories. Their workshops always turn into a party with music, drinks and dance.
