Discover the most traditional side of Barcelona by visiting the fishing dock with a marine biologist upon arrival of the fishermen to the fish auction, and savor a typical product.
The marine biologists of El Peix al Plat – Barcelona Fishing Tourism will guide you to discover the world of the Fishermen's Guild, a century-old organization at the heart of which the activity of the city's professional fishermen is encouraged. On our walking tour through the net yards, the purse seine piers, small gear and trawling, we will discover the richness of the Mediterranean, its biodiversity, its maritime and gastronomic culture. We will observe the daily activity of the netters and fishermen, whom we will accompany from their landing to the fish market to attend the live auction of fresh fish. In this authentic enclave, time, marked by the historic Clock Tower, perishes suspended. A tasting will make us appreciate the trades of fishing even more.
