What To Expect

Basilica de la Sagrada Familia

Gaudi is our most popular local and his artworks mean so much to me and to my city.
We will begin by exploring the amazing Casa Batllo by Gaudi, and it's an amazing symbolic facade. It has a fascinating history which I would love to share with you.

From there, we'll continue to walk along Barcelona's famous Passeig de Gracia and learn how the Eixample neighborhood was founded and why it's so important to Barcelona. Along Passeig de Gracia you'll get the chance to appreciate it's Modernisme (Art Nouveau) architecture with its decorative buildings and lamp posts with tiled benches.

Follow Gaudi's tiling on the sidewalks until you reach his apartment complex Casa Mila (also known as La Pedrera). Here I'll tell you why he felt the need to leave the building unfinished and why the rooftop is wavy.

The next stop will be his most famous work, La Sagrada Familia. We'll hop on the metro and ride just two stops. As you familiarize yourself with the subway, you'll really feel like a local!

At La Sagrada Familia, I'll tell you how the outside tells the biblical story and find out why there is a mosaic of an evergreen tree on one side between the bell towers. After exploring the exterior, we'll head inside with our skip-the-line ticket an explore the interior of Gaudi's most significant work.
