What To Expect

From Barcelona, we will take a leisurely drive through the Penedes countryside, with its over 300 bodegas and nearly 50,000 acres of vineyards. Tucked between the mountains of Montserrat and the Mediterranean Sea, Penedes is known not only for its cavas and wines, but also for its rolling landscapes that surround churches, castles and medieval villages.

Castellvi de la Marca

Our first stop of the day is a visit and tasting at a picturesque cozy winery that specializes in cava, Spain’s sparkling wine. We will get a first hand look at how the family-run winery (for 6 generations!) produces their award-winning cavas and end the visit with a cava tasting paired with local cheeses and other snacks.

After this visit, we will continue to a wonderful restaurant with incredible views of Montserrat and the Penedes region for a lunch consisting of a variety of typical Catalan dishes and Penedes wines and cavas.

After lunch, we will then head on to our second winery of the day where you will explore their underground caves and enjoy various white, red, and rose wines, as well as their cava.
